Oxfordshire Alliance on Smoking Issues (OASI)

The aim of the Oxfordshire Alliance on Smoking Issues is to reduce health inequalities by encouraging and maintaining a collaborative multi-agency approach to the reduction of smoking prevalence and the reduction of environmental tobacco smoke. The Alliance welcomes contributions from statutory, commercial and voluntary representatives.

Oxfordshire County Council: Trading Standards

The Trading Standards division of the Oxfordshire County Council is responsible for enforcing the regulations on the sale of tobacco. They have an important role in protecting the public from the sale of illegal tobacco; they also work to stop the sale of tobacco to under 18’s and they are enforcing the new regulations preventing sale of tobacco from vending machines. District Councils

District Councils are responsible for regulating the smokefree legislation. Working together as the Oxfordshire Smokefree Taskgroup, they have ensured a consistent and informative approach to the smokefree legislation across Oxfordshire.
